7. 7. Is there any other method of communication that would be helpful to you?

Having progress reports online that I can check for every class would be really helpful.
 1 (4%)

maybe a phone call once in a while.
 1 (4%)

Only one of my child's teachers uses a website.  I wish all teachers were required to do this.  It would also be nice to get grade updates every two weeks.  My child's grade went from a B+ to a F in one month and I had no idea.  Some teachers don't respond to emails.
 1 (4%)

I would appreciate it if more of the teachers participated in posting their weekly plans online and/or emailing them to parents who wished to see them. Currently only 2 of my daughter's 6 teachers do so.

I would like to receive the daily emails of the announcements, etc. & also REALLY miss the progress reports that the teachers used to be able to email parents BEFORE the new system...It seems like we have to work really hard to get information from the schools now...didn't used to be that way.

In the past teachers could send an updated progress report via email.  I would like to have that available again.

I really don't receive communication from any of my 6th graders teachers other than at conferences.  A newsletter or a website page for the teachers would be great.
 1 (4%)

I would love ALL teachers to be required to communicate via email.
 1 (4%)

yes..in the Grosse Pointe school system the parents have on line access to their students progress ANY time they want.  it shows current grade, missing assignments if any.  this allows the parents to "check up" without "bugging" their kid every day.  It would also help in more productive discussion about school with this kind of info at our fingertips!

Progess reports e-mailed by all teachers like they did last year.
 1 (4%)

Last year, most of my child's teachers communicated with me on a regular basis by email.  Not this year and I don't care for the way communication was/is set up.  Although my child is an all 'A' student, we would still appreciate regular communication.
 1 (4%)

My 6th grader only uses an agenda no communication via email. my 8th grader I only have 2 teachers that communicate via email and several that don't even post an agenda.  I do realize at this age there should be some accountablilty but, the system of communication needs to be consistent across the board.

It would be most helpful if the school website would list the teachers email address especially when they don't have an introduction page. IE: Jackie Ferrazza

Is there a school newsletter?
 1 (4%)

I liked the system that MSE had last year with the e-mailed progress report.
Also, none of my child's 6th grade teachers has a weekly update of their agenda, and only 2 8th grade teachers provide that.

We need the weekly progress report like last year. This year communication really went down, and I dislike the new system.

There are only two 8th grade teachers that send a weekly agenda via e-mail (Maisano and King, thanks by the way).  Teachers that want parent involvement should send communication to parents that provided their e-mail addresses at the Open House.
